Liverpool I

We also visited a friend in Liverpool (and showed said friend around Sheffield - all in one weekend). Probably the most famous building in Liverpool is the Liver building, on top of which perch the Liver birds. Here's the one overlooking the water, waiting for the return of the sailors.

Perhaps slightly more in agreement with some unfortunate stereotypes, the other bird is said to watching out over to city to check whether the pubs are still open.
